PresidentAlumni Advisory Council For The Fsu Instructional Systems And Learning Technologies Program, Coe Apr 2013 - Apr 2016Worked with ISLT alumni thought leaders from around the world on the Alumni Advisory Council (AAC). Under my leadership, alumni produced a 2-day high-end conference in April 2014 with 200 attendees and about 70 presenters. With conference co-chair Cathy Tencza, secured over $30,000 in sponsorships and donations for the conference. In 2014, thought leaders conducted a comprehensive needs assessment, with a culminating 5-year strategic plan. During 2014-15, facilitated central AAC Steering Committee in collaboration with Faculty Chair Dr. Jim Klein. to implement year 1 of the plan.

Past PresidentTallahassee Chapter Of The Association For Talent Development Jan 2008 - Mar 2013As President for two years of what was then the Tallahassee Chapter of ASTD, I led our effort to developed a sustainable nonprofit structure. In 2010, our membership increased from 60 to 78, we moved from 6 to 11 programs and 2 networking events, migrated to a new website, our finances remained strong, we generated program and website sponsorship opportunities, amended the bylaws, and developed a continuous learning segment for our members. We successfully co-produced the first joint TechExpo 2011 "In the Know" with TalTech Alliance - a technology-based exposition in Tallahassee - May 4-5, 2011. In 2011, we provided 12 programs, including 1 half-day and one full-day program, two networking events, a governmental relations special interest group, a CPLP certification study group, and actively supported to individuals who are at job transition points during this tough economy.

At FSU's Learning Systems Institute, I worked under two different research labs - one under Dr. Roger Kaufman at the Center for Needs Assessment and Planning (CNAP) for 1 year and one under Dr. Bob Branson at the Center for Performance Technology (CPT) for 2 years. I further worked for Dr. Laura Hassler-Lang, Director of LSI, for 12 years as I led the Institute's strategic planning effort and developed two annual reports. I also worked for Dr. Amy Baylor in her Center for Research in Interactive Technologies for Learning, assisting in research, writing proposals, articles, and as project manager for a semester.Beyond LSI, I also served as teaching assistant for two courses: Learner Motivation and Basic Statistics. -
Curriculum Development SpecialistFlorida Certification Board 2005 - 2006During one year with the FCB's subsidiary, the Center for Prevention Workforce Development, I conducted a needs assessment/analysis of training needs for all direct service prevention workers from 0-3 years of experience. I designed and co-developed a 3-day Institute called Today's Tools for Tomorrow's Success that trained macro-level change agent skills to prevention workers throughout the state of Florida. It is now a national best practice in Behavioral Health Workforce Development. I also designed and developed the content for three learning management-based courses.Since that time, I have been rehired periodically for short contractual work to develop approximately eight Moodle-based courses in such focused areas as prevention, community planning and capacity building, multicultural awareness and counseling.
