The Calgary MFRC is a social service organization, providing support to the family members and loved ones of currently serving Canadian Forces Members, and the fallen. Responsible for operationalizing the overall vision and mission of the organization, while ensuring that its business foundation and financial sustainability were properly managed. Assisted in the development and implementation of new and relevant Human Resources, Financial and Fraud Policies. Within the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, was the Research Manager of the Department of Population Health Research, which consisted of 7 Principle Investigators, and at its peak, 80 research, study and grant staff, working on epidemiology research.I was responsible for the Administration and financial management of several budgets (both provincially allocated and grant based) totaling over $12 Million dollars. HR, and employee relations for the department along with Operations Management were key responsibilities. Assisted in preparing the departments strategic plan, and the development and implementation of the operating plan.

Westlink was a not for profit society with the mission to assist post-secondary institutions, and "inventors" in communalizing their “invention” or discovery. One of the organizations flagship programs was the Technology Commercialization Internship Program, which over the course of four rounds, helped develop almost 50 individuals in being able to specialize in one of three areas: Venture Capital, Technology Transfer, or Business Development. As the Internship Manager for Rounds three and four, I was responsible for the Recruitment, selection, performance and HR Management of 24 interns, as well as developing general and customized programs and training conferences, and providing 1:1 leadership coaching. Workshop facilitation. Proposal writing and public relations were some of my responsibilities as well as the financial and grant administration for a $3M budget

A career counselling and drop in centre for 15 to 30 year old youth, from all social economic backgrounds, that focused on counselling youth on self-sufficiency and long term success, through proper intervention around barriers to success. Responsible for bringing focus and meaning to the mission and vision of the centre, and seeing it thrive. Through marketing and public relations and effective service delivery, increased client base from 250 to 4100 in under three years, increasing staff from 4 to 21 and coming to the attention of the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada. Wrote funding requests, and negotiated grants, with 100% success. Established an community based advisory committee. Held the top spot of the department with the lowest absentee and turnover rate in the organization.

On secondment from Human Resources Development Canada (1991-96), was the Census Area Manager for New Westminster and parts of Surrey. Supervised 10 Census Supervisors (each supervising 8 to 12 Census Representatives), in the collection and quality control of census forms. Responsible for public relations, office set up and operations, process control, supervision of Quality Control staff, compensation, rewards and ensuring deliverables were met on time and on budget.
