Progressing from computer programmer to executive leading projects, products, teams, and organizations:• Led software application projects in the 1970s at the dawning of Structured Programming methods and the introduction of 4th generation languages (4GLs).• Led early commercial DBMS evaluations & benchmark testing, as well as DBMS implementations & administration (ADABAS) in the late 1970s, as the relational model and SQL emerged. • Developed DBMS technical support operation methodologies and managed software support teams for US customers during the infancy of the software industry in the 1980s• Developed systems software testing methodologies and strategies; initiated quality metrics; and built/led Software Quality Engineering teams in the 1990s• Led CRM/ERP system selection and implementation as an early adopter of cloud-based CRM/ERP solutions (NetSuite). • Provided IT leadership and expertise on product development teams, incorporating wireless machine-to-machine technology and GPS functionality with payment assurance devices, resulting in multiple US patents/applications. Upon completing a Masters Degree at the University of Denver (2001), I shifted my career focus to strategic technology management - creating business value through technology -- as Chief Information Officer/CIO for a technology startup and as an IT consultant for the SMB market.
