I love writing! It's what I do, it's what I've always done. My writing has taken me to workshops in the UK and USA, enabled me to see and write some beautiful homes, launched my career as a ghostwriter and enabled me to be a property investor. Most importantly, it has given me an income to support my children, even as a single mother, enabling my boys to realise their dreams.In 1994, I began life in real estate advertising. It was what I was made to do. As a child and teenager, I wrote to friends, created in-home magazines and wrote stories, even told by my Year 11 English teacher that my imagination was far-fetching. As a child of a builder and architectural designer, it was assured that I was always around property. So put the two together!In 1998, I launched my copywriting business, working along the sides of real estate greats - Jack Bongiorno and James Connell from Marshall White. By the end of 2000, I quit my job, fell pregnant and was forced to take my copywriting career to the Melbourne stage.I've written residential sales copy, residential rental copy and Airbnb advertising copy for real estate agents, holiday letting, property managers and individuals. I also write corporate website material, newsletter articles, staff profiles, blogs, awards submissions, listing kit material, manuals and other marketing material for real estate, builders and investment companies.Many of my long term clients have successfully sold or leased properties with outstanding results, including Jellis Craig, Belle Property, Chisholm and Gamon, Besser and Co, Ray White and Rodney Morley, to name a few. I have also written for airbnb hosts around Australia, New Zealand and in Wisconsin USA.Some career highlights: I was privileged to interview Barry Humphries about his family's investment legacy which went on to win the REIV Marketing Award for Woodards in 2022. I wrote House 5 in 2023 series of 'The Block' for Jellis Craig. I was recognised as one of the Top Ten Copywriters to Watch in 2021 by the Australian Business Journal.In 2020, I launched the podcast 'Real Estate Right' to help the public do real estate from an objective point of view. I produced, wrote and hosted 170 episodes over 3.5 years, with my 'how to' podcast reaching No 4 in the Australian Apple 'How To' podcasts in 2021, and regularly being in the Top 40.To me, leading the way in communicating to the right audience is pivotal in writing. I ensure I target the right demographic, empower the reader with knowledge and bring out the individuality in property and people.
