I started, grew and ran the sector of City Furniture that sells to builders, developers, designers, realtors and other businesses. I began in a Business Development role and as the department's revenue annually grew; I oversaw all aspects of the business with a strong team always by my side. Once the department grew too large and COVID was starting to pass; we segmented into divisions within our department and I was able to spend the last year of my career in a Managing Director of Sales role. I have always thoroughly enjoyed sales and business development. My design team taught me so much about design and my customers taught me about real estate. After more than a decade in the industry; I have developed a deep love for both industries. I am 100% a People First Leader. I believe when intelligent and motivated entrepreneurs and leaders treat customers and associates with respect and show gratitude for their work; profitability will inevitably follow. I lead with love, not fear. I lead by example and strive to conduct business with a high moral code. These are some of the principles that helped to make me a successful business woman that sleeps very well:)

I was hired by City Furniture from FSU with a degree in psychology. My 1st role was as Manager in Training in their largest showroom (at the time) located in Tamarac, Florida. Luckily, I was able to pick up sales easily and work my way through the management chain. Also, I was lucky to have found a company that was looking to rapidly expand their Ashley Furniture brand. City had a need at the time to recruit, hire and train associates so that they would be able to rapidly expand their Ashley brand which now encompasses 12 Ashley Furniture showrooms in SE FL. I worked very hard, but also understand nothing is all luck or skill. I was able to do well and I was in a situation where I could be rewarded well for my work. I am forever grateful it worked out. I was, at the time, promoted as their youngest GM having moved through the program in 1.5 years. I also worked to attain my MBA during this time. I didn't do much else except City & study!I was a showroom manager for the 1st Ashey showroom in SE FL; shortly after I was promoted to the GM position of the 2nd Ashley Furniture showroom. I learned so much during these years (my 20s) and was surrounded by fair and great leaders that motivated me to continuously strive for growth.
