Boston, Ma

Responsible for enterprising, writing, planning and producing WBZ-TV's most highly visible news series and specials ranging from consumer and investigative reports to financial, technology and health segments. Additional responsibilities included the coordination/production of major news events (Father Porter case, Gardner heist, Winter Olympics, Presidential race and live broadcasts (Tall Ships, Nelson Mandela visit, Boston marathon.) Directed the launch of WBZ's Web site initiatives designed to leverage the station's broadcast content using new media.

Minneapolis

In charge of the station’s special projects unit. Directed a team of producers, photographers and reporters in developing news specials, documentaries and prime time shows. Responsible for the planning and execution of all major special events including political elections and the station’s statewide weekly on-the-road broadcasts. Oversaw the investigative unit, education and health franchises including the management of associate producers and writers. Developed, wrote, produced and successfully piloted the station's first award-winning news magazine, “Special Edition.”

Pittsburgh

Kept the pulse of the newsroom beating and running smoothly. Responsible for daily logistics including story generation, guiding field crews (reporters and photographers) and the coordination of live shots for various newscasts. Cultivated and maintained sources, conducted research, scheduled resources and directed the daily news gathering efforts.
