Supporting senior students to identify and achieve their post-school goals.

• Supporting senior students at Atherton State High School identify and overcome barriers to successful completion of their QCE.• Providing social, emotional, and academic support during one on one sessions.• Engaging a variety of stakeholders across the school and within the community to enhance student outcomes and wellbeing.• Additionally, working as a youth development coach with young people who are seeking career pathways beyond school in the Transition to Work program. • Supporting young people who face additional barriers to education and employment, developing support plans, implementing strategies, and liaising with external supports as required. • Assisting in the development of both careers and wellbeing focused materials for online delivery during COVID 19 restrictions. • Providing tailored career counselling sessions to young people who lost employment due to COVID 19, identifying opportunities for "jobs for now" as well as long term pathways. • Engaging in data management and reporting systems within the school environment and, supporting federal funding requirements.

Providing ongoing support for young people not suited to foster care via residential care.Highlights:• Quickly gained a solid appreciation of the comprehensive work involved in the department in providing prevention, early intervention, and family support strategies to children and families. • Utilised a range of strategies and techniques to strengthen parenting capacity including, interpretation of complex concepts and cultural issues, referral and provision of information, advocacy and consultation.• Implemented and maintained appropriate casework and individualised service plans through designing and implementing intervention strategies, negotiating with service providers and linking clients to the services/supports they require.

VPG empower youth, strengthen families, and broker partnerships between education & industryHighlights:• Collaborating and building ongoing relationships with Job Network providers, employers, Registered Training Organisations, community organisations and various government departments.• Ongoing completion of extensive reporting requirements, both to the organisation and to funding bodies (predominately government)..• Authored and implemented a Get Set for Work program for disengaged students (15-17 years), including delivering training and assessment in Certificate I in Business, life skills and job search training.• Delivered the Career Transition Scheme for the Australian Defence Force including presentations to 200+ participants and interviewing individuals to pinpoint and meet their individual needs.• Authored successful funding submissions, including background research, analysis of current programs, budgeting, staffing, collection and collation of documentation, and formulating the complete rationale.
