Sue is the CEO/founder of Stevens Visionary Strategies. Sue has authored the award-winning financial life planning book series, Dreams of Wealth. Her previous role was as a Senior Wealth Advisor/High Net Worth Strategy at Buckingham Strategic Wealth, where she led the Chicago office team. Prior to that, she founded and ran Stevens Wealth Management for 18 years. Professional CellistFreelance Sep 1979 - Mar 2020Sue has a diverse musical background with extensive performance experience. At 18, she toured Europe as principal cellist with the American Youth Symphony & Chorus, performing in Amsterdam, Berlin, London and Edinburgh. At age 22 she performed with the New York String Orchestra at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. PBS filmed a special following the young musicians and their renowned mentors. A year later, Sue was invited to be a fellow at Tanglewood Music Festival, playing under the direction of Leonard Bernstein, Seiji Ozawa, and Gunther Schuller. She was awarded the C.D. Jackson Master Award that summer along with Wynton Marsalis. Returning home, Sue was invited to join the Civic Orchestra as principal cellist and quickly transitioned to performing as a substitute/extra with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO). She contributed to Grammy-winning recordings working with Sir Georg Solti and Carlo Maria Giulini. Sue's musical journey expanded to encompass tours, recordings, concerts and TV specials with Mannheim Steamroller, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, George Benson, Gladys Knight, Dionne Warwick, Liza Minnelli, Smoky Robinson. She performed at various Chicago theaters in iconic performances including Joel Gray in Cabaret, Anthony Quinn in Zorba, David McCallum in Camelot.Sue embarked on a career change in her early 30s, transitioning to personal finance. Her journey as a cellist and her wide-ranging experiences across genres, stages, and recording studios showcase her versatility, dedication, and ability to excel in both artistic and professional domains.
