The working duties are the same as the job before. However, CIC employed me directly as one of their staff instead of one of their contractor employed by CL Technical. This is very usual in Hong Kong that a government fund company asked for service from an agent and employed the staff directly once seats are available and they are satisfied with their performance. Construction Industry Council is an educational organization providing courses on trade and approval of trade skillcertificates in Hong Kong. Duties in the IT department as a website developer are as below:• Collected user requirements when initializing a new project.• Helping users to troubleshoot when they have problems with the system they are using• Creating new websites for different events for the company.• Creating online registration forms for different events for the company.• Training newcomers for their first application in the company.• Maintenance of the main website for the company to ensure it works well every day.• Updating different websites according to users' requirements.• Explaining the technical requirements to vendors so they can understand those requirements moreeasily.• Verifying the works from vendors to ensure they fulfill all technical requirements before handing them to usersfor UAT.• Creating different reports for different systems.• Documenting the user manual for a new system.• Documenting the release noted for any changes made in an existing system.• Installing services to a new server before installing a new website to it.• Installing a new website to the server which is on load balance.• Checking for mistakes from the new website before publishing.• Creating batch jobs for a new website.• Seeking for solutions when a problem is found on a system.• Documenting how to use a new service provided by vendors.• Creating demonstration codes for the new service provided by vendors.
