As a business partner to board members and management, I was effective in working with all departments, linking finance with operations to improve productivity, efficiency, and bottom-line results. My responsibilities included regularly advising the finance oversight committee, board of directors, and management on the financial health of the organization by analyzing and summarizing the financial success of programs and services, and preparing monthly financial statements and annual budgets. I actively participated on board-appointed subcommittees and action teams with strategic focus demonstrated in the book titled Seven Measures of Success: What Remarkable Associations Do That Others Don't published by the American Society of Association Executives. As a part of this strategic focus, my responsibilities included working closely with an outside human resource consultant to implement internal human resource initiatives.
