I am presently working as Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in Department of Computer Sciences, North Campus, University of Kashmir, J & K. I did Master’s degree in Computer Applications in June 2009 and I was awarded with Ph. D. in Computer Sciences by University of Kashmir for my doctoral thesis titled "Evaluating Effectiveness of Software Testing Techniques with Emphasis on Enhancing Software Reliability" in August 2012.My research interests include Empirical Software Engineering with focus on Software Testing, Defect Prediction and Software Engineering Education. My research is based on empirical methods; experiments and surveys. I believe that replication is good science and can yield significant and helpful results if applied in correct and effective manner. My current research is mainly focused on investigating and improving ways for better development of quality software with emphasis on software testing. I am currently involved in solving software engineering problems largely by leveraging artificial intelligence in software testing domain. The main focus will be on automated testing by minimizing the human effort involved in the process. Estimating the cost in new development models remains a key challenge and we are also investigating how effective and accurate estimation can be made in new development paradigms especially using learning approach. Moreover, I will also continue to strengthen my existing focal areas of my research like using concept of transfer learning in defect prediction and evaluating test methods for improving the efficacy (effectiveness and efficiency) of the testing process. As a part of collaborative research, I also continue research in software engineering education area wherein we largely investigate the key challenges and possible solutions for better engineering education.Research Profile:​1. 31 refereed research papers.2. h-index of 10 and 486 Citations on Google Scholar.3.
