The Civil Service College is an institution of learning, committed to preparing Singapore public officers for the future. We leverage on innovative learning methods to deliver learner-centric, impactful and inspiring learning experiences for public officers. As Senior Manager of the Enforcement Practices Team, I oversee initiatives to Drive Thought Leadership, Develop Capabilities and Build Communities among public service officers working in the civilian enforcement space. We aim to have these public service officers attain higher levels of expertise in their craft, be able to discharge their duties effectively and in doing so, create a safe home for the citizens of Singapore.

- Community Manager: Administration and planning for online community platform for students and faculty. Redesigned and improved onboarding process for new students. Trained and supported faculty to optimize features of Canvas for use in relation to their course syllabus.

I led a 9-member team in the Staff Training, Organization Development and Strategic Planning functions in CSC. During this time, I worked closely with the CEO and all C-Suite members to strategize and roll out CSC's organizational restructuring exercise. I planned and facilitated the senior management retreats and meetings in redesigning the new strategy map and key performance indicators for CSC.My team planned and executed all change management, communications and engagement strategies for staff during the restructuring process. This included starting a bimonthly newsletter, focus groups and orchestrating quarterly town hall sessions with the CEO. As part of process review, I was the leader of a cross department team that reviewed the policies for External Expertise Engagement in CSC. This was a core process that required consolidation and integration as part of the restructuring exercise.My staff training portfolio included the development and continuous refinement of development plans & training roadmaps of all CSC staff, as well as the design of learning interventions for internal training.Outside of my core work, I was also an Action Learning Set Facilitator for Leadership Development Milestone Programs for middle and senior managers in the Singapore Public Service. I enjoyed the interaction with the participants and was excited to use my skills to help them in their leadership journeys.My career has had long ties with CSC, hence, the conceptualization and launch of the CSC 10th Anniversary Culture book has been one of my treasured and proud achievements in this role.

As Manager in the Centre for Organization Development, I oversaw the design, development and delivery of learning events, including lectures, sharing sessions and workshops for Organization Development (OD) practitioners in the Singapore Public Service.I was also a community builder and was engaged in the development of a Community of Practice (CoP) for these OD practitioners to engage and up-skill them to be more effective in their organizations. I facilitated the CoP session with members and managed the online community page.

I managed a team of program developers and administrators in the design, development and delivery of training programmes for high potential officers and senior public service leaders from the Singapore Public Service. My contributions to this department also included a stint as its finance manager for 2 years. The job role included budget forecasting, as well as looking into grants and pricing for our training programs.During this period of time, I was also selected to represent my organization in a 1-month exchange program to China with the Shanghai Administration Institute and the China Executive Leadership Academy in Pudong.

I was a program manager overseeing the design, development and delivery of leadership programs for high potentials and senior leaders from the Singapore Public Service. My job portfolio also included case study facilitation and upfront training for these participants. This role allowed me generous opportunities make connections with many people from across the Singapore Public Service as well as public servants from across the globe. In this role, I have also led study trips to Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, China, Finland and Germany.
