Dr. Sufwan Alomar is a consultant neonatology at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Doha, Qatar. He is the associate director of the neonatal perinatal fellowship program, the leader of NICU data registry (a member of VON), leader of the respiratory committee, and is faculty paediatrics (ACGMEI accredited) at HMC.Research Interests:He has special interest in mechanical ventilation and non-invasive respiratory support and ELBW infants. In 2015, he was awarded the HMC Stars of Excellence Award for his work of Golden Hour delivery room management and Tiny Baby Unit. In addition to his interest in evidenced based medicine and quality improvement projects, his interests include: PPHN, functional echocardiography, air leak syndrome, and neonatal jaundice.Career Background:He graduated from medical school at Damascus University in 2000. In 2004, he became certified in paediatrics by The Arab Board after 4 years of training in children hospital in Damascus University.
