The Developer Programs Engineer (DPE) is an engineering role with a focus on Developer Relations, standing at the intersection of Pantheon and the developers who use it, bridging the gap between the people on both sides. Responsibilities include engaging with customers who push Pantheon’s capabilities, distilling their feedback, and providing workflow best practice guidance through tools and examples.This requires producing material that attracts, educates, and inspires developers by advocating for better development practices with Pantheon. Including, but not limited to, creating blog posts, reference implementations, videos, webinars, conference presentations, documentation, real-time trainings, and more.As well as ensuring that Pantheon and related open-source projects are amazing for developers and acting as a key liaison between the community, our developers and our internal teams, with the aim of enhancing the developer experience so that everyone gets the most out of Pantheon.

Working with an awesome team at Transport Canada to conduct user research with drone pilots, and prototype digital tools to help them fly safely and in accordance with new regulations.Code for Canada’s fellowship program embeds digital professionals inside of government, where they can work on projects that matter. Fellows spend 10 months collaborating with their government hosts to design and deliver digital services that work better for residents. The goal of the fellowship is to demonstrate what’s possible when the latest methods in software development, design thinking, user experience research and product management are applied to serving the public.

Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot the existing ASP.net applications and pages of the City Of Boston (cityofboston.gov). Create new pages with modern web technologies and responsive design using mockups and wireframes provided by our team's designer. Worked with classic ASP pages, ASPX applications, ASP Web Forms, Google Apps Scripts, Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and NodeJS.Plan and brainstorm for ideas that fulfill constituent needs with in-house development, whether it be a systems integration, custom web apps or interactive tools. Take part in the Boston.gov redesign (next.boston.gov) from both a user-focused UI/UX discussion and a technical standpoint. Provide assistance as a developer to the department (DoIT) for various technical requests: database queries, API calls and data handling, and general scripting support. Launched pilot.boston.gov and later, Boston.gov. Collaborated on the design with vendor, Ideo, through workshops and ideation sessions. Participated in Drupal 7 development sprints with vendor, Acquia. Built and styled custom components, modules, and features according to the designs provided. Worked with Sass, PHP, and Drupal 7. As a government developer, I write a lot of code on a lot different platforms :)

Working as a Microsoft liaison for Civic Tech by partnering with Civic Hackers, programmers, startups, nonprofits, and government organizations. Attending and participating in hackathons to build applications using open data and solving problems. Developing the frontend of CivicGraph.io, from the very basic ideation designs to it's current stage. Iterating and building the graph in d3JS and metroUI. As the graph progressed from it's early stages, making technology decisions, iterating on it.At the BetaNYC Civic Hack Day, solving the NYC Department of Education (NYCDOE) PreSchool challenge by building a search application with a Google Maps API that integrates the Preschool data provided and allows parents to search by location. Contributed to the frontend design in BootstrapJS. For HubHacks Boston 2014, participated on a team to solve the Addressing Challenge. Built a City of Boston Address Search upon Boston's existing SAM database system. Used d3JS, Sass, BootstrapJS, and jQuery.
