There were different businesses in manufactured products, projects, services and software in the electrical energy and automation space. It has a large manufacturing footprint and distribution network in India, with more than 20,000 people. The businesses achieved more than target organic growth and we made a large acquisition, during my tenure.I have worked earlier in Chemicals, Textiles, Tyres , FMCG and City Gas Distribution. Have been Managing Director of the largest listed city gas distribution company in India, Gujarat Gas (subsidiary of British Gas UK). I left Schneider Electric in April 2022 to start my advisory and board directorship career. I became Senior Advisor to KPMG and some companies. I had joined the international Board of Azure Power Global Limited in October 2022, a company owned in majority by the Canadian pension funds, CDPQ and Omers. Azure is a leading developer for Renewable Energy with 2.95 GW of operating assets and another 4 GW awarded. In May 2023, the majority shareholders and Board of Azure Power asked me to accept an assignment to turn around the company, revamping its governance and processes as a whole-time director, which I accepted.I am an Executive Member of The CFO Board, ESG Council Member of the Board Leadership Center and have been Chairman, CFO Committee, Indo French Chamber of Commerce & Industry for 5 years.Qualifications: Chartered Accountant Nov 88 (FCA).
