My name is Sugatha Menon. I have been in the world of media for more than two decades. I started my career in 1994 with a travel publication called Voyage (Parsiana Publications group). After a brief stint with Voyage I joined FCB-Ulka, then India’s number 4 agency, as a copywriter. After almost 6 years with Ulka, I joined a dotcom company called Indiainfo. I was part of the team that set up the woman’s portal, evesindia.com. After which I joined the Response department of Times of India. I was part of the special supplements and magazines team. I worked on several special issues and magazines, including the men’s magazine GT and Femina Allure, a beauty magazine. After which I joined Femina, the leading woman’s magazine as Assistant Editor. Post Femina, I joined msn.com as a lifestyle editor and later went on to join Jade, a lifestyle magazine for the south as the Executive Editor. After four years of being with Jade I joined Anita Dongre, the fashion designer as Head-Communications for her brands. I quit Anita Dongre a year ago. I was with Sanjeev Kapoor, the masterchef as Head-Content. I looked after the entire content for this brand, including media interactions. Currently I am looking for a part-time or Consultant position.My freelance projects have been writing the entire content for a jewellery website, bringing out magazines for Global Hospitals, writing stories for publications, creating brochures and brand names.Writing is a passion for me, as much as reading is. Travelling is another great passion.
