Sr Application Analyst

Primary responsibilities involve Merrill Lynch global equity trading support pertaining to Problem/Incident Management, Release Deployment, Operational Readiness, Capacity & Availability Management, & Application Monitoring. Other responsibilities include identify possible production failure scenarios, create incident tickets, enhancements and/or problem tickets in ticket tracking system, and communicate effectively with developers and internal business operations teams. Additionally, responsible for coordinating outages with clients & business, technology groups like Development, Network, and Client onboarding teams to provide resolutions.

Primary responsibilities include system and application support for Subscriber Data Management application (One-NDS) based on SUSE Linux environment. The duties include software upgrade, configuration, installation, documentation, maintenance of systems, and participate in on-call rotation to provide 24x7 incident support. Secondarily responsible for coordinating maintenance activities & project status, vendor management, monitoring, authoring technical documents, responding to issues in production, and mentoring new team members.• Planning, testing, and implementation of software/patches in production.• Collaborate with the customer for software validation.• Explore process issues in the production environment and manage it.• Act as a support to project manager and a mentor to the GDC team based overseas.• Create or modify Method of Procedure in order to perform tasks in production.• Vendor management – team up with contractor and vendors.

Application and Hardware support, research and implementation, setup and maintain user environment, resolve end user technical issues, provide updates, status, and completion information according to published procedure, troubleshooting and updating user systems.
