As the Head of Department- Sports/PE at St Mary's junior college, I am responsible for designing and implementing the physical education curriculum and instruction for students from kindergarten to grade 12. I have a master's degree in physical education teaching and coaching, and a certification in MH-SET, which qualifies me to teach at the college level. I also have a master's degree in information technology, which gives me an edge in integrating technology and digital tools in the sports and PE programs. I have over 14 years of experience as a senior instructor at Prabhav Defence Motivation Centre, where I train and motivate candidates for the defence forces. I also worked as a physical education teacher at Empyrean School for three years, where I introduced adventure education and handball as part of the curriculum. I have skills in fitness training, adventure education, and handball, which I use to create engaging and challenging activities for the students. My core competencies include curriculum development, instructional design, pedagogical innovation, student assessment, and leadership. My mission is to promote physical literacy, wellness, and lifelong fitness among the students and staff, and to foster a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect. I am passionate about learning new skills and methods, and sharing them with my colleagues and peers.
