Some of the key responsibilities while executing this project are as listed below -• POC of new features• Research on new features provided by different databases, checking feasibility and enhancement in the backup recovery solution.• Understanding business and technical requirements.• QA estimation of various new features and final regression testing (RTM Regression) for various database versions on all supported platforms.• Considering QA estimation and QA velocity (availability), preparing release plan for QA, risk assessment and mitigation plan. • Based on the milestone of features from the developers and QA velocity (availability) preparing iteration plan for QA team members.• Creation of Test plan and test scenarios for various features.• Scheduling Test plan review meeting, involving all QA, developers, architects and support personnel in testplan review meeting and updating testplan based on comments. Adding approved final testplan in TestLink.• Automation script development.• Maintaining test script with new check points.• Manual testing based on testplan and monkey testing. Performance testing to check the changes in the performance due to new features.• Automated testing based on testplan and finalizing testcases and adding those in nightly build acceptance testing.• Assigning feature owners from QA side for various features.• Guiding team members in tasks related to research, test plan, test scenarios and automation and resolving their queries.• Assigning tasks in xplanner (Iterations) and tracking the status of task progress assigned to team members• Maintaining automation framework. Doing changes to enhance the functionality of automation framework.
