About Suhas Babu

Hi! My name is Suhas and I run a nonprofit startup, The Premed Scene, a global platform in which we guide students with resources for their journey and host speakers from a variety of fields in healthcare. I also currently work as a business operations coordinator for Baylor College of Medicine, design new initiatives with Microsoft's AI for Health program, conduct research as a visiting research fellow in the DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center at Houston Methodist, and serve as a committee member for the American Academy of Pediatrics. I recently graduated with my master's from The University of North Texas Health Science Center, and prior to my master’s, I received my bachelor's from Texas A&M University. I am passionate about martial arts, being involved for over 12 years, in addition to loving all things healthcare, with an interest in the life sciences and business, and how we can use technology to improve healthcare!

As the co-founder and executive director of the nonprofit startup The Premed Scene, I am responsible for providing content and resources for pre-health students via our global e-learning platform. I institute and moderate the nonprofit’s platform operations between the executive committee, interns, a physician, and a former healthcare consultant to perform vital roles for the operations of the startup. This platform engages thousands of students globally in a supportive environment in which students guide each other throughout their journey while engaging in discussions over present-day topics.
