I collaborated with organisations and individuals across India to promote dialogues on the need to engage men and boys in the movement towards gender equality.As a part of Project Raise, a national collaborative committed to the social outcome of raising boys to be more gender equitable, I led capacity building workshops on gender-transformative programmes for field facilitators from organisations across India. I contributed to curriculum development and conducted trainings for 400+ government school teachers in 4 blocks of Rajasthan under ICRW's Gender Equity Movement in Schools (for boys) programme. I also had the opportunity to co-design curricula and train 70+ teachers for UNESCO's Transforming MENtalities initiative on introducing gender equity programmes for boys in schools. Show less

I had the opportunity to handle diverse profiles from conducting cyber security workshops across India in the states of Nagaland, Assam, Haryana, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra, to overseeing Crisis Management Centres providing psycho-social counselling and paralegal services to survivors of Domestic/Intimate Partner Violence . My engagement with digital platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram involved strengthening online communities to take an active stance against cyber harassment to make the virtual world a more positive and inclusive space for all. From writing numerous blogs on cyber threats to managing various social media handles and pages, and conducting numerous online and offline campaigns, I leant to multi-task and troubleshoot at an early stage.I have conducted Gender Sensitisation Trainings for Police, Doctors and Paramedics and continue to advocate for gender equality in all spheres of my life. I have organised and spoken at National level conferences on the Current Status of the Implementation of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, and on Engaging Men and Boys in Countering Violence against Women. As a Project Officer when I first joined the nonprofit, I was quickly introduced to the gaps and challenges faced by survivors of violence in accessing services related to counseling, legal recourse, and rehabilitation. Working alongside a team of senior counsellors, I gained insights related to the stigma women were subjected to if they raised their voice against violence. I also visited Rohingya refugee camps in New Delhi to understand the issues they faced as a part of a UNHCR project providing gender sensitisation to families settled there. Show less
