Promoted to Senior Storage Engineer in January 2016.Responsibilities include:Configure new and maintain existing EMC and NetApp arrays;Configure new and maintain existing Brocade fiber channel switches;Allocation of Storage to new and existing hosts;Troubleshoot performance or storage connectivity issues; Configure and maintain EMC RecoverPoint and NetApp SnapMirror disaster recovery environments;Work with the capacity planning team to ensure project needs are met; Coordinate the physical installation of new arrays and additional capacity for existing arrays with the hardware vendor.Key Projects:Participated in several POD deployment projects, working closely with EMC to ensure that VNX arrays were installed and configured per architectural specifications. Performed initial deployment of storage for several Cisco UCS hosts at each site.Coordinated the rollout of several NetApp CDOT arrays at multiple datacenters as part of a global content management system deployment. Worked closely with the network team to ensure proper connectivity was in place and with the vendor to ensure installations were completed successfully and on schedule. Performed initial cluster configuration and allocation of storage at each site.Served as the storage team lead on the RecoverPoint disaster recovery project, coordinating the installation of RecoverPoint appliances between several datacenters worldwide. Performed the initial configuration of the RecoverPoint appliances, working with the virtualization team to plan consistency group designs and ensure sufficient journal volumes were in place.

Joined a team of three other Engineers responsible for supporting approximately 75 servers in a small datacenter environment. Responsibilities included:Installed, configured and maintained several Windows NT, 2000 and 2003 Servers, including SQL and Exchange;Managed backup environment of approximately 60 servers using Symantec NetBackup; Assisted with management of Cisco network switches; Maintained and allocated storage from EMC CX-300 and NS-120 arrays; Maintained Brocade fiber channel switches; Assisted with management of VMWare ESX 4.1 environment.Key Projects:Key participant in the office relocation project, combining servers from two office locations into one datacenter at a new physical location. Coordinated the move of 200+ servers, ensuring all were properly connected to the network and brought online at the new facility over the course of one weekend to minimize impact to the employees and end users.Presented the need for additional storage to upper management and received approval to deploy the first SAN storage to the Chandler office. Worked closely with the vendor to ensure capacity needs would be met; obtained quotes, ordered equipment and coordinated the installation.Coordinated the installation and configuration of EMC NS-120 Unified arrays in Chandler, AZ, Rancho Cordova, CA and Bloomington, MN to meet the capacity needs of a corporate-wide virtualization initiative.
