He currently leads beed management, a Nepal based management consulting and financial advisory firm he founded in 2008 that is currently working in Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Rwanda. and US. He builds on his academic and professional experience across the fields of vision building, strategy, branding and marketing, coaching and mentoring, organizational development, finance, project and operational management. He leverages his experience of over three decades, which includes heading one of Nepal’s largest business group (Tara Management/Soaltee Group). He also serves as Senior Advisor - Bhutan and Nepal for Bower Group Asia. He is regarded as a Thought Leader in the field of business environment and economic development in Nepal. He has developed comprehensive networks with deep ties in government, the private sector and civil society in Nepal. He Chairs the Nepal Economic Forum he founded in 2009 and has been consistently ranked top as Top 100 think tanks in Asia Pacific by Global Go To Think Tank Index Report. He is also Convenor of Himalayan Future Forum, a multisector platform working on Climate, Community and Connectivity He earned the title of Nepal's CEO, 'chief eternal optimist', for the optimism he projected in his book, Unleashing Nepal - Past, Present and Future of the Economy (Penguin 2010). His book Unleashing The Vajra – Nepal’s Journey Between India and China (Penguin 2020) was released in January 2020. In Nepali, he wrote Arthat Arthatantra – It’s the Economy (Nepalaya 2018). He has contributed to many compendiums. He wrote a popular column ‘Arthabeed’ in the English weekly Nepali Times from 2000 - 2011. He is currently a columnist with Nepal's English Leading Daily - The Kathmandu Post and Nepali Daily – Kantipur. In 2023, the condendium The Pandemic Years, a collection of articles of The Kathmandu Post was published. He speaks extensively on leadership, business and economic development issues. His proprietary programs include Vision Mandala, an organization visioning and strategic planning tool and different variants of the leadership thinkshop: Unleashing You. Nearly 700 people have attended his thinkshops. His leadership journey has been developed as a case study and taught at the Babson College US for its MS Entrepreneurial Leadership program.
