As the leader of an ISO-certified, UNESCO-patronage student organization at the College of Engineering, Guindy, I drive innovation and creativity by managing 10 cutting-edge projects and 6 high-impact research papers, each supported by significant budgets. My role involves identifying innovative ideas among students, collecting and shortlisting them, and providing funding and team support to bring these ideas to life.To build these teams, I successfully recruited 150 students from over 520+ registrations by designing a structured 3-stage recruitment process that included interviews. My responsibilities extend to guiding these projects and research, fostering strong industrial relationships to ensure necessary support, and promoting Project-Based Learning (PBL) to instill multidisciplinary problem-solving skills among peers.The organization focuses on supporting projects and research that tackle real-world problems or explore opportunities with tremendous potential. As an R&D intern at Sany, I contributed to key aspects of product lifecycle management, particularly in part identification and sheet metal component design. Using PLM software, I sourced excavator components design, managed design files for outsourcing to vendors, and utilized 3D modeling to refine excavator bucket designs. Additionally, I gained hands-on experience on the assembly line for Sany excavators. I also applied my knowledge of materials to assist in predicting the HSN codes of components. This experience enhanced my technical, analytical, and collaborative skills in product design and manufacturing. Furthermore, by identifying defects in the current asphalt paver model, I gained valuable insights that will contribute to improvements in future designs.
