With over two decades of experience spanning various United Nations organizations, I have honed my expertise in climate and disaster risk management, conflict and humanitarian crisis management, and sustainable development. During my impressive 17-year tenure with the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), I spearheaded numerous projects involving disaster risk assessment, risk-sensitive investment planning, city resilience, post-disaster recovery, international/regional cooperation, and high-level policy dialogue with government ministers. Furthermore, I bring to the table a wealth of knowledge in disaster risk management in conflict settings, having worked with UNOCHA, as well as extensive experience in DRM and sustainable development issues from my five-year stint with UNDP. My diverse experiences have enabled me to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the intricate interplay between disaster risk management, development, and resilience across global, regional, and national levels.I possess a Doctoral degree in Media and Governance from Keio University in Japan, which has provided me with the necessary knowledge and expertise to address the prevention of new risks through disaster-resilient infrastructure. Having a profound comprehension of resilience and the importance of investing in the right development approach, infrastructure, and land use planning, I am confident in my capability to greatly contribute to the prevention of future disasters efficiently.I have always strived to keep my academic progress on an upward trajectory. I have earned two master's degrees - one in Business Management with a focus on Human Resources Management, and another in Computer Science.
