Investment professional with over a decade of investing and operating experience, including direct private and public investing, scouting new companies, corporate development, M&A, investment banking, business development & strategy, deal structuring, negotiations, and fundraising. Currently a Director at Assembly Ventures, a global mobility venture capital firm, where I lead our investment team & Silicon Valley office. We invest and support the entrepreneurs and startups that are solving today's most difficult problems across mobility. We define mobility as the physical and digital movement of people, goods, data, and energy. Responsibilities include sourcing, due diligence, research, valuation, deal structuring, negotiations, fundraising, relationship building, board responsibilities, and supporting Assembly's global growth and strategy.Prior to joining Assembly, I served as the Director & Head of Corporate and Business Development at BYTON, where I led strategic investments, M&A, and partnerships globally. Led deal scouting and execution, negotiations, and worked cross functionally with C-level on key strategic projects including new business models, IPO strategy, SPAC strategy, acquisitions, and divestitures. Led several major deals including: $200mm JV with Foxconn, $210mm Series C financing, co-lead $500mm Series B financing, partnerships with the likes of Amazon, Zoom, and Tencent, and brought 2 SPACs to C-level. Dual reporting to CEO. Prior to BYTON, helped start a quantitative macro hedge fund and investment research company, Quantamize, LLC. The company was acquired by Forbes. Investments across consumer, internet, software, fintech, and mobility industries in U.S., China, and Latin America.Began my career working in investment banking at JPMorgan and later RBC Capital Markets specializing in both debt and equity products across internet, software, and consumer companies.
