I was responsible for the vision and roadmap for the core of analytics within Predix, the Industrial IoT Platform. I worked in the technical product manager role with a team of talented software engineers to launch the Predix Analytics Framework: from concept, through MVP, to delivering the GA product. The framework allows analytics created by data scientists in Java, Python or Matlab, to be offered in production on this Cloud platform, connected to control plane functionality, and ready to be consumed by the platform's customers. As a key member of the early customer engagements team for Predix, I ensured analytics created by GE data scientists could be offered easily. I had a technical program management role also for onboarding technology partners and for ensuring adoption of Predix.

I worked on cross-functional teams that include architecture, engineering, strategy, product management and business development in GE Software and researchers in GE Global Research, leading several efforts to drive innovation in the platform and services.

I was a senior researcher in the Services Research Lab, where our focus on was on design of cloud marketplace services that allow service providers to integrate and deliver their services to end customers. I contributed to several key projects:1. Fusion is a cloud platform for securely sharing healthcare data among providers. My focus was on the DataShare service that incentivizes patients to volunteer their data in de-identified form for research and for access to privacy-aware analytics applications.2. IT Service Delivery Framework, that allows process variants to be designed for service onboarding, based on domain knowledge and business rules. My focus was on leading this research, and also working with our Services business to test the framework in different scenarios. 3. Text analytics: My research on unsupervised generation of a set of seed concepts specific to a service domain was used to bootstrap the concepts needed by a cloud service for automated taxonomy creation. 4. Our early research on cloud services marketplace addressed the service selection and service integration problems in a marketplace of cloud services. 5. Service engagements based on HP SOA Systinet product suite: I was driving proof-of-concept extensions to the SOA Management product in this suite for faster root-cause analysis, semantic mapping between IT and telecom domains, and dynamic dependency discovery in enterprise application deployments.

In the Mobile and Media Systems Lab, I conducted research on overlay networking, mobility, distributed computing and service-oriented architecture.Resource and Service Discovery: NodeWiz is a distributed information service resulting from my research on efficient support for distributed multi-attribute range queries in distributed computing environments, such as overlay networks, compute and data grids. I initiated the collaboration with professors from the Federal University of Brazil at Campina Grande (UFCG) and served as the lead researcher from HP Labs on the collaboration. NodeWiz was contributed to the OurGrid middleware.Content Delivery Solution: My work in this project focused on the edge-cache architecture in a CDN primarily serving multimedia content to mobile users. I also designed and implemented algorithms for prefetching and caching content. This work was done in the context of the collaboration between HP Labs and NTT DOCOMO’s R&D center in Japan.
