Before founding the M&A advisory firm Golden Hawk Consulting in 2016, I spent 10 years as a corporate lawyer in Brazil focused on Asian foreign direct investments at TozziniFreire Advogados, one of Latin America's top law firms for cross-border transactions, M&A, and foreign investments. After completing an LLM at Georgetown, I spent the following year at a boutique law firm in New York focused on cross-border transactions between Latin America and the United States. While in the United States I also advised the Embassy of Brazil in Washington, DC on international trade and as a young lawyer in Brazil did pro bono legal work for members of the Brazilian Congress. I am a co-founder of the Brazilian Institute for Development of International Business Relations (IBREI). And currently I serve as IBREI's Institutional Ambassador to South Korea.In an effort to facilitate closer relationships between Korea, the United States, China and Brazil, I regularly participate in various track two diplomatic efforts as an organizer, interlocutor, interpreter (Portuguese, English and Korean), moderator and technical expert on international trade and governmental affairs. Since 2017, I have organized, edited and published a series on Korean companies doing business in Brazil with official partnership from the Korean Ministry of Justice and the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I have also published extensively on investing in Brazil and corporate governance in Brazil. In 2015, I was selected from a group of ten finalists from top law firms across Latin America as a “future leader” of Women in Law in Latin America by Chambers and Partners. My expertise is regularly sought out by foreign media outlets including The Washington Post, The Financial Times, Fast Company Brazil, and Korea's news daily JoongAng Ilbo.
