I was the quiet one growing up—the person you’d barely notice in the back of the class. At the time, I didn’t know I was going deaf. For years, I couldn’t understand how my classmates around me were catching on to things while I just couldn’t "get it." The truth was, I was slowly losing my hearing —one piece at a time.By my 20s, I was told the rest of my hearing would eventually disappear, leaving me 100% deaf. As if that wasn’t enough, two years later, I was also told I will lose my ability to talk. As I continue to lose my hearing, my brain would start to forget sounds, taking my voice with it. This revelation changed *everything*. Until then, I’d been the quiet one, but suddenly, I wanted to talk—to *use* my voice while I still had it. I went from being the wallflower to being in the centre of it all. My journey shaped me into who I am today: someone who understands the fear of being unheard and the power of reclaiming your story. It’s why I’ve dedicated my career to helping families, individuals, and parents of kids with disabilities. I show them that being different isn’t about loss—it’s about transformation. What I Bring to the Table:🔹 Perspective: I understand the challenges of navigating change and uncertainty.🔹 Empathy: My lived experiences allow me to connect deeply and authentically with others.🔹 Experience: From child development to special education to entrepreneurship, my diverse background shapes a unique approach to everything I do.🔹 Adaptability: Living with a disability has taught me to adapt quickly and master new skills to thrive in any environment.Being deaf taught me to listen to myself and others in ways most people never do. I’ve learned to see the world differently, value every form of communication, and help others discover their own voices. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands the challenges of change and identity, let’s connect. Because sometimes, losing what you thought defined you helps you discover who you truly are.
