Perform hydrographic water balances of City of San Diego’s nine (9) surface water reservoirs, calculating evaporation, runoff, inflows/outflows, and seepage and producing monthly reports. This includes collecting data on raw water conveyance system, water treatment plants, surface water reservoirs and San Diego County Water Authority’s (SDCWA) infrastructure, and conducting quality review to ensure accuracy.Work in partnership with City’s Information Technology Consultant for redesign of new Hydrography Program into Water Information Management Software (WIMS) for electronic data collection and streamlined reporting.Calculate water losses in the City’s Distribution system utilizing American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) software to meet requirements of State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB). Prepare reports to SWRCB in response to amendments of City’s Water Supply Permits.Writing a plan to measure volume of water diverted to six City’s water rights diversions for reporting to SWRCB.Assist in coordination with SDCWA for changes to raw water conveyance system operations and water supply to the City.Assist in reviews of interagency agreements for water exchanges, supply and construction of new facilities.Lead work of Management Intern.
