Manage the day-to-day activities of the Flow Core• Supervise three flow staff members and provide backup for all cell sorting and analyzer staff responsibilities as well as assist users in sample acquisition, analysis and experiment trouble shooting/optimization. • Instrument training of new users, lecture and hands-on based training. • Software training for data interpretation, FlowJo.• Consultation with Investigators in experiment planning and data interpretation and presentation.• Assist in Grant preparation for SIG and facilities grants.• Work with medical school administration in the implementation of core facility budget and multi-year projections.Supervise and assist staff in the Clinical Services arm of our core facility.• Work with the NJMS Clinical Trials Unit (NIH funded) with numerous studies from the HPTN and ACTG groups for sample processing storage and shipment.• Work with the NJMS Clinical Research group to provide clinical sample processing/storage/shipment for industry sponsored studies.

• Operate and maintain the Amnis Imagestream in Flow Core Lab (2007-Present).o Run and Analyze samples for Investigators, and produce reports.o Train new users in operation of instrument, use of analysis software (IDEAS) and data interpretation and presentation.o Assist Investigators in experiment planning and trouble shooting.• Operate and maintain BD FACSCalibur and LSRII instruments.• Instrument training of new users, lecture and hands-on based.
