Managed and responded to correspondence to the Governor regarding the Departments of Public Safety and Corrections, and matters pertaining to domestic violence and sexual assault. Correspondence management: included tracking caseloads using a database system, soliciting relevant information from the appropriate state agencies, drafting responses, shepherding responses through a multi-stage proofing and review process, and finalizing responses to constituents.

AJIC’s mission is to compile, analyze, and report justice data for policymakers and practitioners in order to improve public safety, increase justice system accountability, and reduce recidivism. A critical component of the AJiC concept is to actively seek input and guidance from leaders who are engaged in Alaska’s crime and justice policy areas. To that end, the AJiC Steering Committee was formed to provide ongoing input and guidance, and to facilitate the work of AJiC.
