I was Head-Factory operations of two Rusk Plants, Cap = 700 T/ month and one Biscuit Plant, Cap= 1200 T/month. I was responsible for designing plant layouts, installation & erection of new project lines and ensuring smooth functioning of different units. Planning business strategies, conducting trainings, mobilizing resources and supervising performance as per the set parameters are my work areas. Dealing with existing vendors, developing new vendor network, coordinating with regulatory bodies and drafting necessary documents as reports were part of my job.

I was responsible for providing site specific layouts and cost analysis. I drafted 12 project reports- startups on the lines of costing, layout, process, plant and machinery, sources etc. Dealing with vendors, mobilizing resources and maintenance of plant equipments & machineries were part of my job.

I was heading site operations of two biscuit plant, Cap = 2400 T/month and one wafer biscuit plant, Cap =300 T/month. I was handling maintenance and procurement of machineries from domestic & international markets

• Spearheaded efforts for managing entire gamut of activities pertaining to erection and commissioning onsite of biscuit plant at Lawrence Road, Delhi.• Equipments installed and commissioned were Mixers, Biscuit Tunnel Oven, Laminators, Packing Machines, Grinders, Conveyors with Utilities (Compressors, Chilling Plants, Hot Water Generators, VAM).• Structured project plans, schedule of activities, budget, & cost estimates, planned, procured, mobilized, and deployed resources to deliver the projects within defined time and costliness.• Ensured that records maintained across the entire course of project execution. Reconciliation of material against advance paid for materials.• Supervised erection and commissioning of equipments to ensure quality and safety and provided direction to the fabrication and erection team.• Identified root cause of failures and implemented quick breakdown solutions to put the machines back in operation within minimum turnaround time• Took all corrective measures for reducing down-time, ensured smooth and efficient plant operations and spare-parts planning. • Initaited Kaizen activities for cost saving ideas

• Scale of Operation: Three Biscuit Production line – Cap = 2500T/Month, One Cake Production line, Cap = 250T/Month and Six Contract Manufacturing Unit (Biscuit & Bread Production).• Involved in sourcing for the upcoming projects right from identification of vendors, negotiation and finalization of the same. Handled a vendor base of 400 vendors. • Major Project included all capital purchases for new green field biscuits plant project at Lawrence road, Delhi. • Managed commercial functions including materials planning, procurements, logistics, warehousing & distribution, inventory management, global sourcing, vendor development & management.• Provided support to six contract manufacturing unit in North India.• Identified potential sources of supply and driving purchase initiatives to conclude purchase contracts on most competitive rates/commercial terms and conditions.• Invited tenders and quotations, prepared proposals and negotiated the contract terms to get the best business deals. • Followed up for material with vendor and for final payment to vendor with the stores / outside departments within the stipulated period as per order. • Supervised implementation of logistics, including Warehousing, Materials Management, Inventory Management, Transportation.• Played a pivotal role in implementing operating policies & guidelines to ensuring smooth execution of day-to-day operations and to increase operational efficiency and productivity.• Involved in the assessment of the performance of the vendors based on various criterions such as percentage for rejections, quality improvement rate, timely delivery, credit terms etc. as well as ensuring timely payments

• Scale of Operation: 600-1000T/Day – Steel Melting Shop through Electric Arc Furnace& AOD with Slab caster and Rolling Mills.• Involved in installation of air pollution devises on Electric Arc furnace and AOD’s which included wet system as well as dry system with scrubbers, cyclones, hydraulic system, screw conveyors and blowers. • Accountable for fabrication and erection of steel structures.• Handled procurement of Material after calculating quantity of material required for fabrication of steel structural members from drawings.• Formulated Project Execution Plan and effectively handled project planning, scheduling and handled the projects on time. Followed up with customer, vendors and different internal departments.• Involved in engineering drawings / design interpretations and worked with design consultants from conception till final execution. • Coordinated on-site activities to ensure smooth work progress and conceptualized and implemented measures for enhancing operational efficient and optimizing resource utilization.
