Hilton data and analytics, enterprise information management project builds and utilizes enterprise data lakes for Business Intelligence platform with Micro Strategy, Data Science and AI to improve and analyze Hilton’s revenue and digital marketing strategies. Project scope involves Ingesting structured and unstructured data sources using Hortonworks Dataflow Nifi, Apache Spark based transformations and utilizing AWS S3 and HDFS storage services. The Data Collection, Analytics, and Events (DCAE) subsystem, in conjunction with other ONAP components, gathers performance, usage, and configuration data from the managed environment. This data is then fed to various analytic applications, and if anomalies or significant events are detected, the results trigger appropriate actions, such as publishing to other ONAP components such as Policy and Controllers.•Validating the source file for Data Integrity and Data Quality by reading header and trailer information and column validations. •Developed Java applications which integrates the collectors to the DMAAP cluster using spring MVC framework.•Performed transformations, cleaning and filtering on imported data using Hive, Pig and loaded final data into HBase.•Implemented Avro file format compressed with Snappy in intermediate tables for faster processing of data.• Used Spark API over Cloudera Hadoop YARN to perform analytics on data in Hive.• Used Spark SQL with Scala for creating data frames and performed transformations on data frames like adding schema manually, casting, joining data frames before storing them.
