I participated in my senior design in the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition (IGVC) 2021 at Oakland University. Our team used Robot Operating System (ROS) and Autoware.AI and configured them to our needs. For the competition, I helped with the task of localization. In the end, we were able to secure 2nd position in functional testing and overall fourth position among seven participants.After the competition, I continued working on the IGVC project for my co-op term and was able to improve the localization. The project is still ongoing, and currently, we are working on object avoidance and lidar issues.Following are my responsibilities for the project● Localization● Perception and Object Avoidance● Mapping

After completing my first two terms at BEG-NA, I moved to a different department in Bosch. My primary responsibility was functional testing (ISO 26262) of monitoring functions. I worked on several projects for various customers such as JLR, Navistar, and GM. Before I joined, all functional testings were handled by Bosch Germany or India. However, that meant it could take days to communicate feedback from the tester to the developer. Having a functional tester in-house allowed feedback to be given on the same day. Before I left, I was able to transfer my skills to two of the developers allowing them to continue with greater efficiency. For developing the tests, I used Time Partition Testing (TPT). During my last couple of terms, I worked with CAPL scripts for ECU testing for Navistar. As side projects, I created the training for functional testing and maintained the training website. I also spent time learning the monitoring function development. However, due to time constraints, I wasn't able to get into the development process. I started working here after completing my first term at Kettering University. I spent my time learning the software/tools being used here and developed a couple to help boost team productivity. Everything I learned here played a significant role in my upcoming terms at Bosch in Farmington Hills.
