A Kinetic modeler of astrophysical and space plasma, whose main research pertains to simulating the interaction of solar wind with the Earth's magnetosphere. A pioneer of simulating Sun-Earth-Moon kinetics in one simulation box; successfully developed a technique to track the Earth's magnetopause every 20o in the equatorial plane taken in spherical coordinates (r,θ, ϕ) to derive the Earth's magnetopause (MP) shape. MP was obtained by two different methods - i,e,. maximum density gradient and pressure system balance. This newly developed technique (i.e. Baraka et al., 2021) is applicable to any magnetized planet in the solar system to derive the location and the shape of their MP. Current research surrounds simulating the track of O+, and H+ ions that originate in the ionosphere (i.e. IRI-Model) in the nightside of the planet up to the moon-lit dayside surface. Presently working on a project with the University of Alberta to simulate the moon wake kinetically, seeking further academic research opportunities within the astrophysics, magnetospheric, and kinetic simulation discipline.
