Education: Electrical Engineering Degree, Project Management Professional (PMP) with PMII am a hands-on person who goes out to do the leg work for all work assigned. For instance, when I was assigned a project to revamp network & telephone infrastructure I visited the site to assess the need, ran commands on cisco switches to assess capacity and surveyed existing infrastructure to draft a gap list. Unless there are security/control restrictions, I like to be directly engaged doing proof of concept, understanding the terrain & building relationships with colleagues.I possess over 8 years of well-rounded IT experience in project management, new technology implementations, cybersecurity, infrastructure support, and software support/development. Over the years, I have gained experience in telephony systems (Avaya, Nortel, Cisco, Skype, MS Teams & Zoom); cisco network switches & firewalls; MS Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Yammer); Internet of Things (IoT); software development in C++ and python; software quality assurance; cybersecurity; access management etc.At different organizations, I have worked with thirty-party vendors, contractors, service providers (e.g. TELUS) and Subject Matter Experts (e.g. Microsoft & Cisco engineers) on projects ranging from proof of concepts, new implementations and enhancements. These experience have strengthened my negotiation, team buildings, collaboration & stewardship skills which are needed to obtain buy-in and achieve project objectives.Over the years, I have designed & utilized templates for project communication, project stewardship, cost monitoring, quality monitoring, operational handover, customer acceptance, and work flow processes, scripts and proof-of concept checklists. These templates, processes & checklists ensure that plans are detailed, cost estimates are accurate, quality monitoring process is consistent and deliverables exceed customer expectations. I am a continuous learner. In 2020, I have so far read 7 books :- Atomic Habits; Getting Things Done; The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People; The Inevitable; Weaponized Lies; The Effective Engineer; Unplugged Parenting. Within 2020, I have attended over two dozen PMI webinars on project management related topics. I also completed cybersecurity training internally developed by my organization.
