As a Research Manager with over eight years of experience, I lead and oversee projects that apply Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Vision, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to various domains and sectors, such as education, healthcare, and social justice. I work with a team of talented researchers, engineers, and analysts to design, develop, and test solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, and quality of services and outcomes.My passion for research, innovation, and critical thinking stems from my academic background in Electrical and Computer Engineering, where I obtained my PhD from the University of Arizona and my Bachelor's degree from the Istanbul Technical University. I also have extensive teaching and leadership experience as a former professor and dean at two universities, where I mentored students and colleagues, conducted research, and published papers on various topics related to AI, Computer Vision, and RPA. My mission is to use my skills and expertise to address and reduce social inequities and gaps in access and opportunity, and to foster a culture of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.
