I proudly serve as dean of the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University, located in the heart of Chicago. As dean, my mission is to give students a personalized and holistic education through our college’s connections to the business community and innovative academic programming. I joined DePaul in July 2022 after serving in a variety of academic and administrative roles at the University of Connecticut’s School of Business for nearly 20 years. During my tenure at UConn, I successfully championed multiple cross-campus collaborations, worked with state and local governments and the corporate community, and represented the University of Connecticut in state-wide initiatives focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation. I was a founding member of the board of directors for Innovation Place Hartford, an initiative jointly funded by the State of Connecticut and other public and private sectors to catalyze technological innovation. Born and raised in China, I came to the United States to pursue my graduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, where I received my master’s and PhD degrees. I began my academic career at the University of Southern California, and was the honorary distinguished professor at the School of Management at Fudan University in Shanghai, China. I previously served as a distinguished visiting professor at University of Mannheim in Germany. My current research interests include the design of crowdsourcing platforms and crowdfunding for entrepreneurs. I am also serving as a senior editor for the journal Production and Operations Management as well as Decision Support Systems.
