I am delighted to be completing my ITT-PGCE year (leading to QTS) at the University of Warwick with Arden Academy being my host training school. This follows my previous teaching experience at KS3 & KS4 levels in mathematics and religious education at Park Hall Academy where I taught as part of my role(s) for five years as a non-qualified teacher whilst I completed my BSc (Hons) Mathematics and its Learning degree with the Open University.

With my non-qualified teaching allocation increasing and a change of pastoral structure within the academy, I was promoted to the teaching position of Deputy Head of Upper School. I carried out this middle leadership role whilst also discharging the duties of ‘Staff Attendance & Absence Officer’ and ‘DofE Manager’.This role was similar to my existing role as KS4 Progress Leader in the sense that I had direct involvement with academic interventions and behaviour management strategies of students in Y10 and Y11. However, I now had more involvement with attendance and I actively participated in the weekly SMPTF meetings (Senior-Management-Team-Progress-Forum) where we focussed on the operational and strategic leadership of the Y11 cohort. This was an incredibly rewarding role to fulfil. I left this role to accept my DfE-ITT Mathematics Scholarship and Postgraduate offer at the University of Warwick.

I had the pleasure of primarily working at Park Hall Academy as both the Progress Leader for KS4 (Years 10 & 11) and as a Mathematics practitioner for KS3. The core aspect of my pastoral role required me to analyse assessment data for our KS4 students before deciding which students need extra interventions/support in order for them to obtain their target grades and either reach or exceed their academic potential.Alongside my core roles as a member of the pastoral team I also had an extensive secondary role that focuses on the discipline/behaviour of our students which I carried out both alone and alongside our Heads of Year. Together, as HOY & PL we formed a strong Pastoral team that was highly effective and efficient in supporting our students throughout their journey at Park Hall Academy.Additional Responsibilities: - Duke of Edinburgh Award Manager- Staff Attendance & Absence Officer- Deputy Cover Coordinator- Yearbook & Commemorative items Coordinator

During my time at Tactile Technology I enjoyed many varying roles. Initially I started as an Inside Sales Executive working hard on the phones before progressing into Marketing. I was accountable for the marketing budget, creation/distribution of the company's campaigns as well as managing the corporate brand.

As a member of 492 Solihull Squadron I had the opportunity to undertake many life changing experiences which enabled me to grow and develop into the person I am today. I overcame countless challenges which lead to me reaching the most senior position available - Cadet Warrant Officer, where on average 80-100 cadets were under my supervision at any one time.
