The District Internal Auditor provides quality assurance and assessment of risks report to management in respect of compliance with both procurement laws of donor-funded education development projects and the public financial management laws in the district. Below is a brief outline of the specific duties and responsibilities:(i) Planning and preparation of district audit plan.(ii) Execution of risk assessment and providing quality assurance of internal controls to management.(iii) Pre-auditing of expenditure and revenue of the district directorate of education.(iv) Inspection of the book of accounts of basic schools and senior high schools in the district.(v) Training of head teachers about basic book keeping and accounting in order to improve effective utilization of school grants.(vi) Writing and submission of quarterly and annual reports.

The Associate Consultant in response to a framework contract of KfW Development Bank of Germany, QGMI (UK) and CDC Consult (Ghana) conducted impact evaluation and the completion audit of the Livelihood Restoration Project of the US$70 million Tamale International Airport Phase II project. The following is a brief outline of the task:(i) Understanding the institutional environment and the objectives of the Ghana Government in respect of the Phase 2 of the Tamale International Airport and development of an implementation work plan.(ii) Analyzing project documents and information provided by the project implementer (QGMI - UK) and designing a questionnaire for beneficiaries of the Livelihood Restoration Project (LRP) according to gender.(iii) Visiting beneficiary communities and interviewing individuals about the impact of the LRP using the kobocollect digital application software.(iv) Conducting Focused Group Discussions (FGDs) with women beneficiaries at respective locations and interviewing village or community chiefs about the impact of the LRP.(v) Data editing, analysis and preparation of draft report for CDC Consult (Ghana).
