The common thread that links each of these is a focus on building businesses from their inception stage to that of a self-sustaining entity. A reliance on data lies at the heart of these initiatives. At Citi I have worked across teams, in Collections, Marketing, Sales, Product, Portfolio Management and across businesses including Savings/Checking accounts and Cards in Retail Banking. I built a multiple million-dollar P&L in the short span of two years launching a full suite of products and building out a sales team to grow the business. This intrapreneurial experience was a natural precursor to my startup experience. Relative to Citi, DataWeave was much smaller and it presented a different and unique set of challenges as a result. At DataWeave, I consistently doubled revenues annually for each of the four years I was there. I acquired some marquee clients across Retail, FMCG, Consumer Brands and PE/VC firms across geographies and created two new product lines. The experience of working at Dataweave was an education in building data monetization businesses and working with unstructured data. In my current role at Flipkart, I leverage Alternate Data across the Fintech offerings. My work includes supporting the Payments, Lending, Insurtech and the larger Fintech organization.
