• Sumanth was a Senior Analyst Information Security Compliance at VMware. Sumanth’s role as Senior Analyst was to lead the Compliance by Design initiative, SOX integrations, and operations.
• Compliance by Design (CBD): this was an initiative Sumanth led where specific control objectives were identified as pillars for cyber hygiene – they needed to be implemented on applications developed by VMware for.
• Compliance Readiness Assessment (CRA): Sumanth was responsible for assessing applications being developed and implementing controls from CBD and others based on security compliance requirements that the application.
• Sumanth also helped implement additional SOX controls for the applications identified as being in scope for the SOX Audit.
• Sumanth was also responsible for overseeing controls monitoring by junior members for automated controls. Control breaks were identified and acted upon. The entire activity helped in reducing the number of control.
