March 2005 - April 2007Diagnostics project for Systems Health Manageability lab for the project called Next Generation Fault Management (NGFM) and the product named System Fault Management (SFM).System Fault Management (SFM) is a collection of tools used to monitor the health of HP servers and receive information about hardware such as memory, CPU, power supplies, and cooling devices. SFM operates in the Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) environment and provides the same features and benefits as those found in the EMS Hardware Monitors.Worked in the capacity as a developer designing (using UML diagrams in Rose) and implementing 4 modules (in C++). SFM has had 2 Major releases. In the process had the opportunity to work in a technically motivating environment and had a very good exposure to the entire Software engineering cycle since this is a young product and was just being conceived when I joined this project. Also got to understand the HP’s Hardware Enablement cycles and release cycles.
