Worked in the Process Planning department. Tasks involve establishment of a novel prototype assembly line for the production of high quality switchboards. The objective of this project is to manufacture NX-Air prototype switchboards using lean manufacturing techniques.

·Designed and fabricated an internal convective heating (ICH) technique for rapid diffusion bonding of microchannel arrays· Performed finite element analysis (FEA) to analyse the effects of internal thermal gradients within the bonded structure on the final bond quality. Results showed that thermal gradients have a significant effect on quality of bond.

· Determined bond quality standards for diffusion bonded/brazed micro-reactors by measuring % voids· Proved the feasibility of the ICH method by studying leakage rates and thermal requirements within the process· Investigated the process by performing statistical analysis using t-tests by measuring the metrics of warpage and void fractions
