In this Role I supported our IT operations by building complex SAP landscapes on a virtual VMware platform. I architected a solution by working very closely with our networking & SAP Application team. The solution accomplished the followinga. Migration of Oracle databases from Physical servers to VMware clusterb. Setup of multiple VLAN's for Database, application servers, DMZsc. Migration of SAP Landscape to Virtual platform d. Implemented Oracle Data Guard and SAN replication for Disaster recovery Also supported SAP Application team by applying Support packs, performing system copies and my team made sure all the systems were patched on regular intervals.

I have managed and supported District's Oracle Database systems. I with my team performed multiple Database recovery exercises and made sure the database ran optimally with the least latency. I was involved in troubleshooting performance issues. I used Oracle Enterprise Manager and shell scripting to perform Database backups and monitoring.In 2007, Metropolitan Utilities District purchased SAP's ERP Solution. I was assigned the Role of installing and configuring SAP Systems. I received multiple training in SAP's administration module. I with the help of a System Integrator set up the First SAP System at our company. In our initial Rollout SAP MM, Payroll and ISU modules were implemented.

I was involved in supporting multiple implementations of an Automobile Club Membership System. My role was to provide support on Databases. I led team of DBA's on multiple Projects. Primary database for these Projects was Oracle. During my stay @ AAA, our team migrated many membership systems including AAA Nebraska, AAA New York, AAA Chicago to our Membership System. My role included Database setup, migration , monitoring and backups.

I led a team of DBA's to automate Banking Solutions for an Indian Private Bank named Bank of Punjab. Our team was responsible for setting up the Hardware, installing the application and Database and also training the branch to run the operations. This was the time when Banking System in India was going through the automation. It was a very good learning experience for me and prepared me for the future challenges as an IT-leader and a technical visionary.
