Automation of reconciliation of clients' securities held by the stock brokers:• Led a cross-functional team of operational and technical staff from SEBI, Exchanges, Clearing Corporations and Depositories, for developing a system that creates a register of clients' securities and reconciles the same with the securities holding data of clients reported by the stock brokers.• Responsibilities included developing a logic for reconciliation of clients’ securities and process flow design, coordinating with various stakeholders such as Exchanges, Depositories, Clearing Corporations, Stock Brokers and their back office vendors for system improvement, communicating progress to the leadership team.• Enhanced SEBI’s capability in offsite monitoring of handling clients’ securities by the stock brokers.
