Toyo Engineering India Limited, I have been responsible for various aspects of quantity surveying and estimation for a wide range of civil and steel structures. My key responsibilities include: • Preparation of Material Take-Off (MTO) for diverse structures such as buildings, sheds, pipe racks, pipe bridges, equipment foundations, tanks, pits, and more. • Creating Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for engineering projects and ensuring accurate data compilation. • Estimating quantities for civil, general civil underground, and steel structures based on specifications and project requirements. • Collaborating with project leaders and site teams to coordinate estimation activities. • Estimating architectural quantities based on issued drawings and compiling data in a common BOQ summary. • Assisting the group leader and department head in updating departmental and company standards, procedures, and work instructions. • Conducting quantity estimations of different work items during the bidding stage, adhering to specifications and requirements. • Checking outside party facility BOQs and preparing champion BOQ sheets and indices sheets for future projects and proposals, or for evaluating current BOQs based on indices. • Preparation of As-Built BOQs in accordance with Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings. • Working on tender and proposal BOQs, ensuring compliance with required specifications and client needs within given timeframes.I take pride in my meticulous approach to quantity surveying, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
