Double hatting as Head Purchase for reinforcement steel (TMT) and as head of pricing & contracting for logistics for KEC Intl.Responsibility includes planning and purchase TMT for various projects within India and globally for KEC. Responsible for inventory management, supplier development, material transfers within projects and ensuring timely delivery for more 80 projects and sites.As pricing head for logistics responsible for pricing & contracting with 2PL, 3PL & 4PL players, ICDs, CHA (custom clearing agents); planning & scheduling shipments to meet monthly targets; enabling timely pickup & delivery of Cargo from origin to the project sites; Proficient in managing all types of cargo and modes for shipments : open trucks, air shipments, containerized Cargo, Break bulk, inland water ways & barges and ODC. Providing strategic insights to Business Development team at tendering stage to improve bid win ratio; recommending best solutions to procurement team and project teams for movement of machine, equipment and material.I was PMO for logistics transformation project, undertaken by KEC with a Global Consulting firm (Accenture Strategy). The Project encompassed all the facets of the logistics from loading & stuffing at factory to lead time reduction to route optimization to documentation & digital transformation of the entire value chain.
