With over 15 years of professional IT experience, I have expertise in manual testing across various domains including UNIX, mobile applications (Android/iOS), Set Top Box (STB), Smart TV, Chromecast, web applications, and API testing. My skills extend to testing Over the Top (OTT), IPTV (Multicast), DVB-T/DVB-C content on a wide range of devices, with knowledge of Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) and proficiency in testing HLS, HSS, MPEG-DASH streaming protocols. Additionally, I possess a deep understanding of TV architecture, metadata, encoding/transcoding, audio/video codecs, resolution, containers, and DRM. My experience includes testing live TV, EPG, on-demand, cloud/local recordings, and integration of third-party apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. I am proficient in utilizing tools like Splunk, Mixpanel, Instrumentation, Google Analytics, and have experience in voice testing with native apps and Alexa. Furthermore, I have experience in testing navigation apps for infotainment devices, strong root cause analysis, and debugging skills using tools like Charles Proxy, Wireshark, and Fiddler. I also have a solid understanding of Bluetooth versions, networking concepts over LAN, and various Wi-Fi versions/security encryptions. API testing with tools like Postman/Poster, basic knowledge of automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Sahi Pro, and proficiency in UNIX (Sun Solaris 9, Red Hat Linux) and shell scripting are among my capabilities. I am well-versed in STLC, Agile concepts, test management, and utilize JIRA utility effectively.
